MESSAGE FROM HOD

Pediatrics is a very important specialty of medicine as it deals with newborns and children who are in their growing ages. As the child grows he or she may encounter numerous issues physically as well as emotionally. A sound knowledge of these conditions is hence important. All this require cognitive concepts, skilled hands and affectionate attitude. The goal of a solid understanding for a physician is to be able to accurately evaluate a clinical observation and/or imaging, and manage it accordingly. The Pediatrics Department of KMU-IMS has been teaching its subject under the MBBS program, in accordance with PMDC & HEC criteria since the foundation of KMU-Institute of Medical Sciences, in 2006.It has recently been recognized by CPSP in 2024, for postgraduate FCPS training in Pediatrics.
